'Stashe yourself, even for the ladies...

Every once in a while you run across something kind of quirky and likely a little hokey, but it makes you smile just a little bit, if only on the inside. That was the case as I was reading through some Gearfuse articles. And came across Bottle 'Stache, and I found it mildly amusing on a sunny Saturday.

Simple and creative, it takes is a little piece of fun that takes into consideration something we do every day. How many times have you seen someone drinking from a bottle in you day to day life? How many times did that make you smile? Check out this article on Gearfuse to see the plethora of 'stache options, there is bound to be one to suit you!

So, wha'ts next? 'Staches for baby bottle? Maybe beer bottles, could make for some entertaining bar fun!

Bing yourself?

Move over Google? Introducing "bing"! A microsoft product, bing is a search engine currently in "preview mode" but is set to go to a live version this Wednesday. The big question on my mind is....is it better than Google? From what I can see so far, I am not convinced. Some have touted that it is fast, and yet, I have never had an issue with the speed of Google, so I am not compelled quite yet. They do have a more visual initial interface, but then following a search, you move to a different layout, not sure if I am in love with that or not, only time will tell. Is the image helpful, informational, or is it just a distraction?

Initial reviews have criticized the weighting of Wikipedia results, which I tend to rely on more and more, but then if I am looking for something that would likely have a Wiki entry, I start there rather than my search engine anyway.

What's in a name? Well, a lot I gather. So, I decide to look up "bing" on dicitonary.com and this is what I find...

Now, maybe it is just me, but I don't know that that is a flattering name?

'Personally, Bing will forever be some type of ice cream parlor, I vaguely recall when or where that entry in my mind bank was filed, but for some reason it is there.

Any initial reactions out there? Is bing the "google killer" or is it really just a heap?

What's your new medium?

When looking around at materials for new projects, I have come across some interesting concepts, but here is one that I think is fabulous! Images on Potatoes! Not only is it interesting because it is a uniuqe medium, but I love it because over time it changes. Potatoes start to shrivel or sprout, so the art itself changes over time. Actually, the art itself, could techincally "give birth" to a hill of new art pieces. And no doubt they would be a real "chip" off the old block.

I also would love to know more about the process. The images seem to be digital, perhaps printed directly on the potatoe or applied in some manner.
