Bing yourself?

Move over Google? Introducing "bing"! A microsoft product, bing is a search engine currently in "preview mode" but is set to go to a live version this Wednesday. The big question on my mind is....is it better than Google? From what I can see so far, I am not convinced. Some have touted that it is fast, and yet, I have never had an issue with the speed of Google, so I am not compelled quite yet. They do have a more visual initial interface, but then following a search, you move to a different layout, not sure if I am in love with that or not, only time will tell. Is the image helpful, informational, or is it just a distraction?

Initial reviews have criticized the weighting of Wikipedia results, which I tend to rely on more and more, but then if I am looking for something that would likely have a Wiki entry, I start there rather than my search engine anyway.

What's in a name? Well, a lot I gather. So, I decide to look up "bing" on dicitonary.com and this is what I find...

Now, maybe it is just me, but I don't know that that is a flattering name?

'Personally, Bing will forever be some type of ice cream parlor, I vaguely recall when or where that entry in my mind bank was filed, but for some reason it is there.

Any initial reactions out there? Is bing the "google killer" or is it really just a heap?
