Uppercase scarf

uppercasescarf.jpgPut this on the "I gotta get me one of these!" list. While not entirely functional, the cool factor on these is through the roof. Created by little factory this scarf is laser cut utilizing the letters of the alphabet to create the pattern, giving it a interesting and textured appearance. Almost random feel from afar, but quite interesting as you get close enough to recognize what the design is.

For those of us who love to see letters as art, this is a must have. Check it out at:  http://littlefactory.com/scarf/uppercase/

For those who might not appreciate the random letters, what can this inspire? Perhaps it is your latest tagline, cut into the scarf, which can double as a impromptu banner. How about your next sporting event giveaway? Scarves with your team name, motto, etc laser cut out of them? 1,000 fans holding up your sports team banner could be a really cool effect in a stadium and it would likely be taken home and pinned up on walls, bulletin boards and in offices for years to come. Can you say that for the little foam fingers?

Do you Chumby?

I don't have a Chumby, but as a lover of gadgets, it does look quite appealing. I love widgets, and but at home, I have to head to my computer, which my family is almost certain has been surgically attached, wake it it, all to check the weather, news, etc. Even my kids are glued to the weather widget. But, is there a better way? Meet Chumby. Chumby connects to your wireless internet and is basically just a widget viewer, alarm clock, digital photo frame, radio, etc. It even has a Wii-ish sensor so that you can play a little game on it. Priced at $180, it may be a little more than some what to spend, but if you have priced the digital photo frames latel, it isn't completely out of the ballpark. Check out this CNBC report on the Chumby:

Stickie Quickie

From the brainpower of the folks at MIT, here is a sticky idea. If you have ever seen my monitor, you will know that it is typically covered in no less than a dozen stickie notes. Things that I need to remember, need to do, or phone numbers I need to hang onto. I love Post-its, have them in every shape an size, but here is something new. A way to digitize them, now I know, you can do the stickies on the mac, and they are fine and alll, but there is something just a little too uptight about a typed stickie, these have a much more organic feel.
