Holy Websites Batman!

So if you know anything about computers, the web, or maybe even just look like a geek, you have likely been targeted by your friends, family and yes, even your church maybe be hitting you up for help with their website. Now if you have taken a look at web sites out there, church sites have traditionally been some of the worst. Often times a site for the sake of having a site, with little or no content, but the times they are a changin!

Check out this coolection by Vandelay Design http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/galleries/best-church-websites/  and you will see that there are some really beautiful sites out there. I have always loved heading to the Christian bookstore when I hit a design roadblock, you never know what you will find and designers of religious publications are often challenged by having to create visual representations of abstract concepts, like God, Faith, Forgiveness, Grace, etc.

And the end result is often something that evokes an emotional response, which is, in the end, what you hope to convey with all marketing. 

Now What's my password?

If you find yourself scratching your head, trying to figure out what you password is for the 200 website you have visited this week. Or, if you find yourself clicking on that "Forgot your password" link repeatedly, here is a little program you are bound to find helpful. Allowing for syncing via your .Mac account is another great advantage of this software as well. Allowing you to set up multiple personalities, you fill in web forms with ease, assuring that you aren't auto filling with your work address on a personal item, or vice versa.

Hi Ho Kermit the Frog here

It was only a matter of time before Disney showed up here, and this is fabulous! A fan of Kermit and his book, "Before You Leap" (check out my personal reading list for a link) Spend a few minutes watching the video and you can experience him; doing an impresion of Jaws, Pac Man, himself in the Thanksgiving Day parade, Kermit screen saver and my personal favorite iKermit (its a web joke) It takes a minute to get through the whole webcam setup, but be patient.
